Striking

Certain subjects are portrayed best in a sharp and striking profile.  Through careful arrangement of contrasting features I am able to draw out this form and have the animal seem to leap off the canvas.  As the light and shadow play on the contours of the figure, the observer is drawn to the most promminent features.  The result is an eye-catching and realistic portrait of the animal that will have you feeling like you can reach out and touch it.
